Key points for selecting a 3-axis flatbed trailer

1、 First, distinguish the purpose of the vehicle model
Standard three-axis flatbed (container flatbed): mainly used for pulling containers, steel, and general cargo, with container locks and a cargo platform height of 1.45-1.55m.
Three axis low platform: construction machinery such as excavators and loaders, with a cargo platform height of 0.78-1.0m, equipped with ladders, encrypted rope tighteners, and without container locks.
Don’t buy the wrong version, the wrong use will directly affect the use.
2、 Compliance priority (top priority)
There must be a notice from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, with consistent certification, actual vehicle, and announcement parameters to ensure registration, annual inspection, and operation, avoiding fines and inability to settle down.
The self weight, external dimensions, and traction pin specifications (mainly 2 inches) should strictly follow the announcement, and do not blindly pursue ultra wide and ultra long.
ABS is standard for braking, with complete lighting and side rear protection, meeting road regulations.
3、 Main beams and slabs (determining durability)
Q345B high-strength manganese steel is preferred for the main beam, while ordinary Q235 steel is rejected as it is prone to deformation and cracking.
Check the thickness of the belly plate and upper and lower wing plates of the main beam, and thicken them under heavy load conditions; The crossbeam is encrypted, making it less prone to collapse under heavy loads.
Bottom plate: General cargo with a thickness of 2.0mm or more, often used for heavy loading and smashing, choose 2.5mm patterned plate; It is recommended to perform full welding instead of intermittent spot welding.
The edge beams, rope tighteners, and rope hooks should be thickened and encrypted to secure the goods more safely.
4、 Axle and suspension
Axle: Priority should be given to legitimate brand 13 ton axles, with a clear view of the axle housing and brake pad configuration to avoid reducing the number of axles from other brands. Three axle trailers have a total of 3 axles and 12 tires.
Suspension selection
Mechanical spring suspension: suitable for construction sites, rough roads, and heavy steel loads. It is sturdy, durable, and easy to maintain. Accessories are available everywhere, making it the preferred choice for construction sites.
Air suspension: suitable for long-distance highways, precision equipment, and fragile goods, with good shock absorption and minimal tire wear; The disadvantages include high cost, easy damage to damaged road airbags, and high maintenance requirements.
5、 Tires and brakes
Tire specification: 12R22.5 vacuum tire, priority given to major brands, with a total of 12 tires on 3 axles.
Ensure proper rubber protection for the brake air circuit to prevent wear and air leakage; Confirm that the ABS system is fully equipped, not just the casing.
